《就业不足》的主人公是五个刚刚大学毕业的好友：Sophia、Daphne、Lou、Raviva和Miles。他们都有很高的人生目标，都梦想得到完美的爱情，但在一个竞争残酷的世界里，他们的成年之路注定不会平坦。 故事从五个主人公大学毕业一年后开始，尽管他们在生活中都遇到了许多困难??例如没有出路的工作、糟糕的老板和爱情的烦恼??但他们还是打算向好的方面看。
